I WONDER

I wonder why the lightning scares us

if the noise is caused by the thunder.

I wonder why we are afraid of the darkness

if it exists thanks to the light.

I wonder why we are afraid of clowns

if they’re supposed to make us laugh.

I wonder why it seems like we need someone

just to feel ok.

I wonder what would happen

if I asked myself what would happen.

I wonder why I wonder.

I wonder why I ask myself so many things.

I sometimes wonder… about what they call life.

29. EL CARPINTERO (25/06/19)

EL CARPINTERO

Un carpintero trabajaba en su taller.

Esta última temporada había sido agotadora, había tenido muchos encargos.

Estaba destrozado, el cansancio se iba apoderando cada vez más de él.

Un día, mientras daba unos golpes a un listón de madera, se clavó una astilla. Le salió una pequeña gota de sangre, pero siguió.

Al día siguiente, se volvió a clavar otra astilla.
Suspiró, siendo consciente de que no era la primera vez que le pasaba.
En la tarde del próximo día también tuvo un percance del mismo estilo.
Agotado ante tanta falta de fortuna, cabizbajo, se sentó en una silla a descansar.
De repente, su teléfono empezó a sonar.
Al otro lado estaba él mismo.
Se escuchó, se dedicó un poco de tiempo y entendió que quien realmente tenía su martillo era él, nadie más.
